Miami SwimShow Cruise '06: Inca

Models walked the sand-covered runway while guests lounged on white cabana-style benches at the Inca show, where viewers felt transported from the beach in Miami to exotic locales such as the waters of the French Riviera or the deserts of Africa.

Simple bathing suits in saturated brights were accentuated with lavish crystal belts and trims with mosaic patterns and embroidery. Colorful snake and leopard prints, feminine florals, and polka dots were embellished with wooden beads and pearls. Coordinating tunics and tie-front robes in linen complemented the swimwear and resortwear, which was inspired by the world travels of New York–based designer Stephanie Hirsch and partner Stacy Deutsch. —N.
