Ascension Style
Fashions from Kit Pistol, Coco Kliks and Naqada by Octavio Carlin were featured alongside installation art and deejay turntables at Red Bull Ascension, held May 19 at the Vanguard nightclub in Hollywood. This was the fifth art, music and pop-culture Ascension event sponsored by the trendy energy drink and the first time Ascension was held outside San Francisco, where it was launched. More than 2,500 people attended the event, which raised $4,400 for Gen Art’s Los Angeles chapter. Highlights are available at www.redbullascension.com/asc05.
