ApparelMagic Connects Web Showrooms to ERP

Glendale, Calif.–based software company ApparelMagic has upgraded its business management software, which can now be integrated into e-commerce applications, allowing companies to link their Web showrooms to production, inventory control and accounting operations.

“Most apparel companies use multiple solutions to meet consumer e-commerce, business e-commerce, production and accounting needs,” explained company president John Murphy. “One software solution might create and maintain the consumer Web site and its e-commerce function, another might track orders and manage production, while yet another handles wholesale transactions that are not connected to other aspects of the business.”

An integrated system can save time and money and increase speed-to-market, added Murphy, whose Murphy & Associates develops ApparelMagic.

The company recently added online showrooms to its slate of product offerings. The showrooms can be set up to market to consumers or wholesalers with color catalogs using Flash or other Web technologies. The e-showrooms can be integrated into existing sites or built from the ground up, Murphy said. —Robert McAllister
