Ergonomic Education
The American Apparel & Footwear Association and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are planning a six-city seminar tour to promote a recently released ergonomics manual. “Ergonomics for Supervisors, Volume I—An Introductory Manual for the Apparel and Footwear Industries” includes industry-specific information about the benefits of good ergonomic practices and the process of implementing an ergonomics program in an apparel or footwear company. The two organizations will hold half-day ergonomics training seminars in Los Angeles; New York; Miami; Chicago; Charlotte, N.C.; and El Paso, Texas, in April.
