Rampage Toasts New Image

Fashion industry insiders flocked to Rampage’s Beverly Center store in Los Angeles on March 22 to shop and get a first look at the retailer’s newly revamped image.

Rampage executives hosted the industry event to differentiate the Rampage unit from its juniors-focused parent company, San Diego–based Charlotte Russe.

The retailer stressed its contemporary fashions—and contemporary price points— but noted that it will continue to focus on turning product quickly.

Attendees of the event shopped lightheartedly and were very receptive to the range of lady-appropriate styles offered, from boho-chic tops to metallic-accented blazers with matching trousers. In addition to raising the bar on clothing quality, the company enhanced the shopping experience with its attentive sales associates.

Brad Cunningham, senior vice president and general merchandising manager for Rampage, said the chain’s new price points are about 30 percent below those of stores such as Arden B. and Bebe, which operates a store directly across from Rampage’s Beverly Center location. —Rhea Cortado
