Jamison Buys Mid-Wilshire Property

California Market Center owner Jamison Properties continues to build up its presence on Wilshire Boulevard as it recently closed on a 13-story office building in Koreatown.

Jamison paid about $15 million for the 220,000-square-foot building at 3325 Wilshire Blvd., said Chris Runyen of Charles Dunn Co. Real Estate, which brokered the deal between Jamison and the seller, a private group of investors.

Earlier this year Jamison spent about $135 million for the CMC wholesale apparel and gift mart. It also acquired Macy’s Plaza in downtown Los Angeles this year.

The newest purchase is a building that is about 65 percent occupied and houses banks and educational groups, among other tenants. The building fits in with the company’s strategy of buying buildings with relatively low occupancy rates so it can add new tenants and boost values, Runyen said. —Robert McAllister
