Fornarina Showroom Moves to Gerry
After years of staking out a spot in the back of the Fornarina store on Melrose Boulevard in Los Angeles, the Fornarina showroom has a new home to call its very own in the Gerry Building.
“Being at the Melrose store had its perks,” said Liz Cardile, the Italian apparel maker’s communications director. “We had the ability to see exactly what the customers were buying. But it’s nice to be downtown. The Gerry is up-and-coming, and I think it will be easier for buyers to get to us here. They won’t have to trek out to the store.
The 2,153-square-foot showroom opened in time for the March 24–28 run of Los Angeles Fashion Market but will celebrate its official grand opening in June, Cardile said.
LTD, Fornarina’s new higher price-point collection of apparel and shoes, and Fornarina brand apparel, shoes and bags will be sold in the new showroom. For more information, call (213) 612-4439. —Erin Barajas
