Gerber Helps Students at Shanghai University

Gerber Technology has donated its Accumark CAD (computer-aided design) software to the Shanghai University of Engineering Science (SUES).

The Tolland, Conn.–based company is providing the school with 40 seats (licenses) of Accumark PE pattern design, grading and marker making software and 40 seats of Accumark MTM made-to-measure software.

As part of the donation, Gerber will provide free upgrades and will train instructors to improve their practical knowledge of the systems and their applications.

“By supplying the latest computer-aided design and manufacturing technology to SUES and other colleges and universities worldwide, we help to ensure that the industry leaders of tomorrow have the knowledge and experience they need to succeed,” said James Arthurs, president of Asia Pacific, Gerber Scientific Inc., Gerber Tech’s parent company. —Robert McAllister
