Metropark, Windsor Upgrade Technologies

Los Angeles–area retail chains Windsor Fashions and Metropark are overhauling their computerized retail systems with a new product from NSB Group geared toward small and midsize retailers.

The retailers will use NSB’s Connected Retailer Managed Services suite, which addresses planning, merchandising, sales analysis, financials and customer-relationship management.

The product, offered for a fixed quarterly fee, is designed for retailers who want to budget their costs.

Vernon, Calif.–based juniors and contemporary retailer Windsor had been using an older NSB system. City of Industry, Calif.–based Metropark will install a new system. “This is a way to focus on our retail business without investing in and building an internal IT [information technology] infrastructure,” said Orv Madden, founder of Metropark.

“These two new partnerships for our Managed Services offering further confirm our strategy for meeting the needs of smaller retailers,” added David Henning, senior vice president of the Enterprise Business Unit for NSB. “Our all-in-one software, hardware and support package will enable them to focus on running the day-to-day operations of their business, instead of their retail IT systems. Both systems should be up and running within six months.” —Robert McAllister
