Park

WALK IN THE PARK: David Park took his nearly 10 years of design expertise and focused on creating a modern bottoms line named Park. The designer debuted the Spring 2006 line Jan. 8–10 at Intermezzo Collections in New York, with limited inventory available for immediate delivery. “In the scheme in my designing, it’s the fit that makes it sexy,” Park said of the silhouette. He limited his use of “conventional” fabrics associated with spring, such as cottons and linens, and chose lightweight woolens for a distinctive richness.

KEY LOOKS: Cuffed short shorts with pleats, cuffed Bermuda shorts, flat-front pants and pleated pants in cotton satine, cotton canvas, silk linen and lightweight wool are topped with contrast topstitching and funky, vintage-style buttons.

WHOLESALE PRICE POINTS: $69–$125
