Barneys Dallas
New York–based specialty retailer Barneys New York, a division of Jones Apparel Group Inc., will open a Barneys New York flagship store in NorthPark Center in Dallas, Texas, this fall. At about 88,000 square feet, this will be the third-largest Barneys store (following the New York and Beverly Hills stores). The news follows Barneys’ earlier announcement that it would open a Barneys New York store in Boston this spring. Since last year, the retailer has opened Barneys Co-Op stores in Chicago; Atlanta; Costa Mesa, Calif.; and Chevy Chase, Md., with plans to open additional locations in Houston and Washington, D.C.’s Georgetown district. In addition to flagship Barneys stores in New York, Beverly Hills and Chicago, the company also operates three regional full-price stores, eight Co-Op Barneys New York stores and 11 outlet stores.
