CFDA's Vogue Finalists

The Council of Fashion Designers of America has narrowed the competition for the CFDA/ Vogue Fashion Fund to 10, including the design team behind Pasadena, Calif.–based Rodarte. In addition to Rodarte’s design team, sisters Laura and Kate Mulleavy, other finalists are Phillip Lim; Devi Kroell; Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra (Costello Tagliapietra); Doo-Ri Chung (Doo.Ri); Thakoon Panichgul (Thakoon); Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig (Marchesa); Milla Jovovich and Carmen Hawk (Jovovich-Hawk); David Neville and Marcus Wainwright (Rag & Bone); and Justin Giunta (Subversive Jewelry). The 10 finalists will be winnowed down to three. The CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund—underwritten by Vogue, Barneys New York, Juicy Couture, Kellwood Co., Coach, Nordstrom, Theory and Gucci—grants the winner up to $200,000 and a year of mentoring and industry support. Two runners- up, who each receive $50,000, also will be named at an awards event in November. Last year’s winners were John Whiteledge, Sam Shipley, Josia Lamberto-Egan and Jeff Halmos of Trovata.
