Brothers & Sisters

The New MartSuite 209 (213) 623-2312

Brothers & Sisters is owned and managed by actual brother and sister Chris Seelig and Suzanne Kolen, who have a New York showroom of the same name.

Despite their East Coast roots, Brothers & Sisters is actually weighted toward West Coast brands. That perhaps originates from Seelig’s affinity for California.

“I feel like I’m on vacation whenever I’m here,” he said.

The showroom, featuring white flooring and airy spaces designed by noted architect Stefan Meisel, caters to upscale boutiques with a blend of casual tops and denim. Lines include Cris, a Los Angeles–based sexy and sophisticated knits collection; Zooey, Alice Heller’s L.A.-based tops line made of Supima cotton; Grayson, an L.A. pants line made with European fabrics; Jet, featuring novelty tees; Blake, from a former Abercrombie & Fitch designer; and Future Paradise, a New York line designed by Lance Karesh. Price points range from $25 to $200.

“We’re professional and friendly. We’re about relationships. The people that work here represent who we are and what we’re about,” said Seelig.

Seelig and Kolen visit the showroom every few weeks. Otherwise, it’s managed by Kristen Davenport. John Gates manages all operations from New York.Robert McAllister
