Gavin's Jackets

BOTTOM TO TOP: Gavin, a 2-year-old trouser line, has branched out with the launch of jackets and a coat for Fall 2006. Julia Chase, who owns the Studio 10 showroom in The New Mart in downtown Los Angeles, and Karen Lazar, former owner of the Acacia boutique in Beverly Hills, founded Gavin. The duo developed the sharp capsule collection of blazers to match with Gavin pants.

Chase said she started the pant line because “she couldn’t look at another jean anymore,” but added that the jackets are denim friendly.

The fit on the jackets is engineered with the same attention to detail that customers appreciate in Gavin’s flattering-fit pants.

Celebrities such as Sharon Stone, Courtney Cox and Halle Berry have scooped up the pants.

The line is sold at boutiques such as Diavolina in West Hollywood, Calif. —Rhea Cortado
