Little Black Dress Returns to L.A.

Little Black Dress, the charity gala that launched in Los Angeles in 2002, returns to the city for its fifth edition in L.A. Scheduled for Nov. 18 at the Fleur de Lys estate in Bel-Air, the fund-raising event promises to be packed with star power from Tinseltown and the fashion industry.

Twenty Los Angeles–based designers will whip up their own version of the “little black dress” for the evening’s charity auction. Designers include Louis Verdad, Kevan Hall, Rami Kashou, Miss Davenport, Tadashi, Sue Wong, Kelly Nishimoto, Max Studio, Single, Ya Ya, Petro Zillia, Poleci, Jennifer Nicholson and Lloyd Klein.

The famous black dress worn by actress Audrey Hepburn in the iconic film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” will be on display. It will be auctioned by Christie’s in London later this year.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Pediatric Epilepsy Project, which aims to raise funds, provide financial support and increase community awareness. Past Little Black Dress events have gone to benefit cancer research and aid low-income women. Ticket information is available at www.lbdevents.com. —Erin Barajas
