Papering L.A.

New York–based Paper magazine once again headed west for its second annual Paper Project L.A., during which the magazine hosts a round of fashion, music and art events that are then featured in Paper’s Los Angeles issue.

This season, the magazine put the spotlight on several designers and labels from the Los Angeles area, including Ashley Paige, Rodarte, Show Pony, Brian Lichtenberg, Grey Ant and Jeremy Scott, as well as New York–based Threeasfour and Benjamin Cho and Britain-based Gareth Pugh.

Held in Paper’s temporary headquarters on Hollywood Boulevard, the event included installations and runway shows throughout the day on Nov. 11.

Jeremy Scott and Grey Ant designer Grant Krajecki each presented runway shows that reprised their New York Fashion Week showings. Kime Buzzelli, designer of Los Angeles label Show Pony, opted for an installation of girls in romantic, pastel frocks serving platters of candy-colored cupcakes. The single-named Threeasfour designers—Ange, Adi and Gabi— presented their custom-designed looks on small pedestals, and Brian Lichtenberg offered an informal viewing of his ’80s-inspired glam looks.
