Olympus Fashion Week on the Move

After 13 years at New York’s Bryant Park, IMG’s Olympus Fashion Week will be moving to a new home.

The biannual event has outgrown its current home and will move to an as-yet-to-be-determined location following the next run of fashion shows in February, according to a statement released by IMG.

The release included a statement from New York Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg praising the success of New York Fashion Week and of the redevelopment of Bryant Park, located behind the famous New York Public Library.

“While it is clear that due to its success Fashion Week has outgrown the facilities available at Bryant Park, Fall Fashion Week, which takes place in February, is just around the corner, and we have determined that the search for a suitable home will require further analysis and planning,” Bloomberg said. “The city will continue to work with IMG and the fashion industry to locate a permanent home for Fashion Week.”

IMG is also the producer of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Smashbox Studios, set to run Oct. 15–19 in Culver City, Calif.
