Trina Turk Leads All-Star Award Winners

Los Angeles designer Trina Turk will be among 10 winners receiving an All-Star Award during Apparel Magazine’s Tech Conference, set for Nov. 8–9 at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

The awards gala will take place Nov. 8 at the Katie Murphy Amphitheater on campus. One of the nominees will be named Grand All-Star. The companies were chosen based on their innovation, excellence in management, strong track records and corporate goodwill.

Turk is known for her unique mixtures of prints on classic and retro silhouettes. The formula has led her to collect numerous awards and gain a loyal following of customers. She will open her first New York boutique in November.

Other winners include Chardan Ltd., Cutter & Buck Direct, Danskin, Goodwill Industries of South Florida Inc., Hirdaramani Industries, Lori Coulter, The Marena Group Inc., Dr. Deborah Meyer-Brosdahl of Kansas State University and Spyder Active Sports Inc.

Several of the industry’s leading technology executives will address a number of topics during the conference. A “table-top” expo will also be part of the event.
