Seizing Shoes

Columbia Sportswear Company, the Portland, Ore., company that has been on a major campaign to crack down on counterfeit goods, announced that customs officials in Greece stopped a container filled with 19,200 pairs of knock-off Columbia Sportswear shoes. The shoes had been made in China and were en route to an importer based in Greece. The shoes were apprehended when passing through customs in Piraeus, the port outside of Athens.
