Leonard Leaving CITA

Jim Leonard, chairman of the Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements, an interagency group chaired by the U.S. Department of Commerce, is leaving the department. Leonard, who had been with CITA for four years, is a textile industry veteran who worked for Burlington Industries for more than three decades before joining the Commerce Department. During his tenure with CITA, Leonard oversaw the introduction of safeguard quotas on goods from China in 2005.
