Metropark Names New Chief Exec

Los Angeles–based retailer Metropark has named Robert Allison chief executive officer of the 39-store contemporary streetwear chain.

Since 1998, Allison has served as managing owner of Innovate Partners, a private capital and consulting company, as well as general partner of The Edgewater Funds, a private-equity firm based in Chicago. He has served on the Metropark board of directors since the company was founded three years ago.

“Bob’s experience in managing rapid growth is a tremendous asset for us,” said Metropark cofounder and Chairman Orv Madden in a statement. “He knows our customer, knows us, shares our team-oriented culture, and we look forward to continuing our great partnership for the future.”
