New Lines for Moda at CMC

The ModaStyle showroom has relocated to suite A311 of the California Market Center and has added several new resources.

Angel Jeans, Hip Pocket Denim and Reve sportswear are now part of the merchandise mix at Moda, which is managed by Bentzi Gershon and has been a fixture in the CMC for 29 years. Gershon recently moved to a different location on the third floor to gain more visibility in the center.

His newest additions include Angel, a 15-yearold Los Angeles contemporar y denim line with bottoms and jackets and T-shirts, wholesale priced from $25 to $38 for jeans and $15 to $18 for tops. The jeans feature rear-pocket embroidery and stonework and come in straight, skinny and boot-leg cuts.

Hip Pocket is a premium line based in Studio City, Calif., that made its debut last year. Moda will be carrying the women’s line, featuring straight-, skinny and boot-leg styles with low- and mid-rise cuts. The jeans come in inky washes with resin-like finishes and are wholesale priced from $53 to $59. The line is designed by Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising grad Eva Julfayan.

Reve is a Los Angeles tops line featuring vintageinspired romantic shirts and blouses in cotton and satin with pricing from $15 to $45. T-shirts feature oversized paisley prints, and blouses come in rose, ivory and bronze featuring crinkled finishes.

“These collections have a vintage feel and a contemporary fit,” said Gershon, who will also show the lines at the Fashion Market of San Francisco April 14–17 at the Concourse Exhibition Center. —Robert McAllister
