Guess Europe, B.V., the European subsidiary of Los Angeles–based Guess? Inc., acquired 75 percent of the equity interest in its longtime licensee, Focus Europe S.r.l., including leases and assets for four Guess by Marciano boutiques in Italy. Focus had manufactured and distributed the Guess by Marciano women’s and men’s line in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Guess cofounders Maurice and Paul Marciano will take on new titles as part of Guess’ global expansion strategy. Maurice Marciano, co-chairman of the board and co-chief executive officer, will assume the position of chairman of the board. Paul Marciano, who also held the titles of co-chairman of the board and co-chief executive officer, will assume the position of vice chairman of the board and chief executive officer.
