After four years of forming half of the team at the Rebecca and Tom Sales showroom, Rebecca Bacon has set out on her own with a new fifth-floor showroom in the California Market Center’s contemporary atrium, located in the “A” building.
Bacon was previously teamed with Tom Thomas in their showroom on the CMC’s second floor, but she wanted to climb to new heights on her own. She’s brought some of her existing lines, such as ABS Allen Schwartz and House of Moyeacute;. She’s also added some new labels, including Los Angeles– based Anaiuml;sse, Gabriella and Vertigo Paris.
The merchandise consists of contemporary dresses and sportswear, wholesale priced from $69 to $240, with a mix of established and growing labels.
A.B.S. features daytime and evening dresses, sportswear and denim. Anaiuml;sse features luxurious knit jersey separates and dresses. Gabriella consists of novelty knits and tees. House of Moyeacute; features sophisticated, item-driven dresses and sportswear. Nylon by Dex is Canadian-based, featuring itemdriven sportswear and dresses, and Vertigo offers suitings with a European flair.
“These lines are for women with fashion in front of her mind. It’s for the woman who is fashion-conscious, not age-conscious,” said Bacon. The veteran wholesaler is known for establishing lasting business relationships with her clients.
