New CEO for Blue Holdings

Commerce, Calif.–based Blue Holdings Inc. named Glenn S. Palmer chief executive officer and president. Palmer is taking over the positions formerly held by Paul Guez, who is taking a more-strategic role in the company, which produces several premium- denim labels, including Antik Denim, Taverniti So Jeans, Yanuk and Faith.

Blue Holdings also produces premium T-shirt line Life and Death through a joint venture.

Guez, who will continue to serve as chairman of Blue Holdings’ board, will remain active in the strategic direction of the company and focus on developing the company’s global licensing business, according to a Blue Holdings statement.

Palmer has 30 years’ experience in corporate finance, operations and the apparel industry. He has worked for companies including Cerberus Capital Management, Amerex Group Inc., Best Manufacturing Group LLC, Liz Claiborne and Bonaventure Textiles USA. At Cerberus Capital Management, Palmer was chief executive officer and president of the Rafaella Apparel Group.Alison A. Nieder
