True Religion, Jessica Simpson Dive into Swim
InGear Swim, a New York–based swimwear manufacturer, has landed licenses for True Religion and Jessica Simpson swimwear.
InGear’s True Religion license will include swimwear for men, women and children. “You can expect the latest designs for our first-ever swimwear line,” said Jeff Lubell, True Religion’s founder and chief executive.
The Vernon, Calif.–based denim giant has been on a licensing roll of late, recently signing deals for handbags and outerwear.
Singer/actress Jessica Simpson, who already licenses apparel, footwear and accessories with Camuto Group, tapped InGear to launch her swimwear line. Simpson’s collection will feature retro florals, romantic vintage prints and pin-up styles, the swimwear maker said. Packed with bikinis, cover-ups and one-piece suits, the Simpsonbranded collection will retail for $50 to $140.
Both collections will debut at the Swimwear Association of Florida’s Swim Show in Miami in July. —Erin Barajas
