Project Runway Returning

“Project Runway,” the runaway-hit fashion reality show on the Bravo TV network, is looking for designers to compete in its fourth season. Los Angeles–based designers will have three days to audition for the show, which rewards the winner with $150,000 to help fund a fashion line, a year of mentoring from a team of established designers, a magazine spread and a brand-new car.

An open casting call in Los Angeles has been set for March 30–April 1. The location is still to be determined. Local Cosa Nostra designer and season-three winner Jeffrey Sebelia may be a guest judge during the casting process, producer Barbara Schneeweiss said. Additional casting calls have been scheduled in Chicago on April 3, Miami on April 5 and New York April 7–9.

As in past seasons, designers will compete in weekly elimination challenges, with the last four designers staging fashion shows during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. “But, as always, we’re going to throw a few curves,” Schneeweiss said.

More information will be posted soon to the Bravo Web site (www.bravotv.com).
