Gottschalks in Elk Grove
Fresno-based department-store chain Gottschalks Inc. will open a 58,000-square-foot prototype store in the Laguna 99 Shopping Center in Elk Grove in November. Compared with other Gottschalks stores, the Elk Grove store will devote more floor space to soft lines, including fashion labels for women, men, juniors, kids and men. Gottschalks operates 59 stores and four specialty apparel stores in six western states: California, Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Nevada and Idaho.
