Nikita Loves Boys

After seven years of creating edgy looks for girls in action sports, Icelandic boardsports brand Nikita is turning its attention to guys. For Fall 2007, the company, whose U.S. headquarters are in San Francisco, debuted Atikin, a streetwear brand with European-inspired styling.

“Atikin is a small, new alternative clothing line for guys who want to upgrade their style,” said Runar Ommarson, Nikita’s general manager. Featuring jackets, shirts, shorts and accessories for Spring/Summer 2008, Atikin sticks to an urban color palette of brown, gray and black with pops of brights. In keeping with the chic street vibe, the line focuses on details and exclusivity with creative construction, flatlock stitching and limited-edition pieces. Wholesale prices range from $16 to $55.

Key retailers for the line include Up Against the Wall, The Station Clothing and Supplies and Vanilla Urban Threads.
