Jets by Jessika Allen: Coming to America

Jets, a long-beloved Australian luxury swim brand, saw a renewal in 2001 when it was purchased by designer Jessika Allen. Now, the brand is focusing its attention on the United States market with the establishment of headquarters in New York.

“This has come as a natural progression after continued growth both in Australia and overseas,” said Melissa Trovato, Jets’ vice president for the Northern Hemisphere. “This has enabled us to further inform the U.S. market about qualities that make Jets by Jessika Allen both a premium luxury swimwear brand as well as a strong global-market player.”

Bold patterns, sexy silhouettes and playful details are hallmarks of the collection.

Jets has had a small stateside presence for three years, but the label makes its big push with its new Le Grand Tour collection. “It is inspired by the most unique, vibrant and glamorous destinations of the world,” Trovato said. “Following in the footsteps of the fashionable world travelers of the early 20th century, each story captures the essence of some of the most elegant places in the world.”

As it expands its reach into the American market, Jets will target upscale department stores and specialty retailers. The brand has experienced success selling comparable stores internationally, earning space at Harvey Nichols, Selfridges and Fenwicks in the United Kingdom, Holt Renfrew in Canada, Palacio de Hierro in Mexico, Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, and David Jones in Australia, Trovato said.

Wholesale prices for Jets range from $62.50 to $125. For more information, call (866) 584-7357 or visit www.jetsswimwear.com. —E.B.
