Governor Guess?
Georges Marciano, one of the founders of Guess? Inc., announced plans to run in the 2010 gubernatorial election, according to the San Francisco Examiner. Marciano, a designer and real estate developer, will be running as an independent, according to the report. San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, state Attorney General Jerry Brown, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, state Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner and former eBay Chief Executive Officer Meg Whitman are among those reported to be considering a run for governor of California.
