Experts to Weigh In on Opportunities During Economic Crisis
Navigating the economic crisis will be on the agenda at “Capitalizing on Global Opportunities in the Downturn and Beyond,” an all-day workshop featuring keynote speaker Jack Kyser, founding economist of the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp.
Union Bank is hosting the Sept. 23 event, which will also feature Ilse Metchek, president of the California Fashion Association; Robert Krieger, president of Norman Krieger Inc.; Alan Ross of Alan L. Ross & Associates; and Kirk Lundburg, president of Trade Technologies Inc.
The speakers will discuss vendor finance options for reducing costs in the supply chain, opportunities to expand a company’s export business using pre-export working capital and buyer finance, issues relating to foreign exchange and currency risk management, and other hot-button issues.
The workshop will be held at the San Antonio Winery in downtown Los Angeles from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Cost to attend is $100 per person, and breakfast and lunch will be provided.
