Azature: Designer. Chocolates.

Azature's Black Diamond Truffles

Now, here’s a tempting collaboration. Los Angeles–based fine-jewelry designer Azature has teamed with Tarzana, Calif.–based Chocolate Studios to create a collection of truffles that sound as rare and exotic as the black diamonds the designer uses in his jewelry line.

Azature’s Black Diamond Truffles are made from rare Amazonian cocoa beans known as “Wild Treasure,” according to the designer’s blog. The beans are then processed in Europe and crafted into diamond-shaped chocolates for Azature.

The chocolate collaboration is just the latest in the single-named designer's stable of brands and businesses. Azature launched his eponymous jewelry line in 2007 with a collection of necklaces, charms and rings made from a chemically developed amalgam of platinum and silver, which he paired with enamel, onyx and black diamonds. In 2008, he launched a diffusion line called A.Z. by Azature, and later that year, he was one of the featured designers in Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion in Los Angeles. This year, he launched a new custom jewelry division called Azature Atelier.
