HiMFR: Non-Woven Bags Preferred in China

Non-woven recyclable bags will win out over cotton or paper bags among Chinese consumers. That’s the prediction by HiMFR (www.himfr.com), a B2B search platform based in Beijing.

HiMFR forecasts the demand for degradable plastic packaging will eventually reach200 million tons, which it estimates as a 40 billion yuan business (or $5.85 billion U.S. dollars).

Made from long fibers that are bonded using chemicals, solvents or heat, non-woven bags are preferred by Chinese consumers because they are waterproof and can be made in a range of bright colors, according to HiMFR.
