Blue Shares Floor With Collective

Blue, ENK’s boutique trade show aimed at the premium-denim sector and its related categories, shared floor space with the larger Collective show during its Jan. 19–21 run at Pier 94 in New York. The show was significantly smaller than its incarnation during premium denim’s peak, coming in at 45 brands, including Z Brand, Converse by John Varvatos, Hudson Jeans and Drifter. Coleman McCartan, a spokesperson for the show, said that while attendance was down for the show, key buyers still shopped Blue. Buyers from Isetan Japan, Ron Herman Japan, Saks Fifth Avenue, Intermix and American Rag walked the show, McCartan said. “And that’s what really counts for our designers—quality of buyers over quantity!”
