Transprint Chief Executive Boyd Retires

William Boyd, chief executive officer of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.–based Transprint USA, announced his retirement from the company effective immediately.

The company markets heat-transfer paper and other printing supplies and services to the apparel and home-furnishings market. It was acquired last year by Colorep Inc.

Boyd will continue to be associated with Transprint as a consultant on textile-product development.

Under his leadership, Transprint developed more than 15,000 textile designs. He is a former president of the International Transfer Print Institute.

AirDye is Colorep’s new sustainable dyeing solution, which dyes garments without the use of water or any harsh chemicals.

In addition to Boyd’s announcement, Colrep has promoted Bonnie Julian to vice president of its textile division and Transprint has named Gavin McLachland as worldwide director of sales. —Robert McAllister
