Gen Art to Kick Off BOXeight

Los Angeles Fashion Week will officially open on March 13 with a runway show presented by Gen Art at BOXeight’s L.A. Fashion Week at the Los Angeles Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

The show will feature the work of three local designers, Raquel Allegra, Society of Rational Dress’ Corine Grassini and Grai’s Maya Yogev.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8, followed by an after-party running from 9 to 11 p.m. Tickets are available at www.genart.com.

BOXeight’s events are scheduled to run through March 17. Although a final lineup has not been posted, MARTINmartin is expected to return to the runway this season.

For those looking to get the L.A. Fashion Week party started early, men’s line Idol Radec is hosting a presentation on March 13 from 2 to 5 p.m. in Los Angeles.

Other scheduled fashion-week events include a Kevan Hall runway show on March 19 at the Colleagues’ annual fund-raising luncheon for The Children’s Institute at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills and an Andrew Christian fashion show at Boulevard3 in Hollywood on March 20.
