Lead Regulations
With new federal regulation coming on board in February that limits the lead content in primarily childrenswear, The Hosiery Association and the Hosiery Technology Center have formed a coalition to respond to and prepare for the new rules. “We know that our industry’s products are already exceptionally low-risk,” said Sally Kay, president of The Hosiery Association. “The CPSC Legwear Coalition will compile and provide this evidence to the Consumer Products Safety Commission so that it can consider redirecting its efforts and resources to improve other categories that may pose immediate threats to American consumers.”
