InsideFashionWorld.com Celebrates Swim Week 2010 at The Gansevoort South Beach Hotel

It was the kind of scene you might expect at a Miami Beach fashion show—swimwear, plenty of beautiful people and the Miami Dolphin cheerleaders. InsideFashionWorld.com celebrated Swim Week 2010 at Plunge Rooftop Pool Bar and Lounge at The Gansevoort South Beach Hotel.

The poolside fashion show held on July 15 debuted four of swimwear’s hottest emerging designers. The Miami Dolphin cheerleaders walked the runway wearing designs by Keva by Keva J, Liza + Tara Resort Wear, Jogo by Pooneh and Tyler Rose Swimwear.

Keva by Keva J opened the show with an African-inspired collection chock full of the designer’s signature geometric one-piece designs made with a mixture of fabrics and cutout details. Beautiful tones of blue, black, green, brown and nude represented Africa’s artwork and people and animals found in the Serengeti.

The Liza + Tara Resort Wear 2010 collection of cover ups was inspired by an island hopping girl. The muse for the season was the ultimate travel girl on vacation with a chic comfortable wardrobe. For the Key Biscayne, Fla.–based company, this included cover ups in colorful floral and graphic prints that matched its muse’s sassy personality: vibrant, confident and chic.

The Jogo by Pooneh collection debuted its first collection of classic swimwear and dresses. Designer Pooneh Mohazzabi takes inspiration from the many places she has lived and traveled in the world, including Bali, where she currently resides. Comfortable and relaxed, the collection includes cover ups, spa sets, jewelry and accessories.

Peace, love and rock ’n’ roll captured the look of Tyler Rose Swimwear’s “Haute Indian Summer” collection. For Cruise 2010, designer Nichole Carroll had the mystique of a wandering desert gypsy in mind. She combined a variety of fabrics in a range of bold colors, tie-dye and crochet prints trimmed with sexy fringe trims. —N. Jayne Seward
