Miami Swim Fashion Week Cruise 2010: Inca

The exotic backdrop of the chic W South Beach hotel was the perfect location to present the Inca 2010 collection. Guests lounged in cabanas while models walked the runway set over the chic pool lined with palm trees for the July 16 presentation. Designer Stacy Josoloff, who recently relocated to Miami from New York, said her travels around the world inspired the look. A blue bikini paired with white pants captured the feeling of the Greek Islands and colorful striped ponchos were inspired by Mexico. Josoloff said she scaled back on embellishments this season due to the economy and kept the palette muted in shades of gold, black, gray and green. Her focus included developing innovative fabrics and fits to re-launch the brand, which had been on hold for a season. But there were plenty of chic looks for Inca’s jet-set clientele including a black bikini trimmed with elaborate draped beading, a cream beach wrap trimmed in feathers and intricately crafted crochet bikinis and dresses that offered plenty of sex appeal. —N.
