Miami Swim Fashion Week Cruise 2010: Xtra Life Lycra
Invista celebrated its 50th anniversary on July 18 with its annual group runway show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim. The maker of Lycra and Xtra Life fibers presented an homage to the past 50 years of innovative swimwear technology with 50 looks from the past, present and future.
Gretta Monahan of “Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style” hosted the show, which included swimwear styles from the 1960s to 90s, current designer looks for Cruise 2010 and concept suits forecasting design and fabric innovations. Designers and manufacturers in the show included Becca by Rebecca Virtue, Lenny, Marc by Marc Jacobs Swimwear, Sauvage by Elizabeth Southwood, V Del Sol, Shan, Backflips, Karla Colletto, Cia.Maritima, Next by Athena, Gottex, Poko Pano, Andres Sarda, Brette Sandler, Red Carter, Banana Moon, Speedo, Maryan Melhorn, DKNY, Phael and MAS Linea Aqua. —N.
