Cooper's Moving-Picture Show

The Cooper Design Space in downtown Los Angeles is getting a dose of art and technology with the debut of the Cooper Video Wall in its newly renovated lobby.

A video art installation featuring the work of more than 30 filmmakers, photographers and designers, the Video Wall will be unveiled at a party on June 11 and then be open to the public during the Cooper’s regular business hours.

Programmed to display a rotating roster of photos, video clips and film shorts from artists and photographers such as Michel Gondry, Shepard Fairey, Koichiro Tsujikawa, Kosai Sekine, Sage Vaughn, Syd Garon, Margo Silver, Kiino Villand/Mindbomb Films, Jessica Miller, Marla Aufmuth, Mariana Sabido, Carlo Van de Roer and Elkie Vanstiphout, the Video Wall will be curated by Flux. The Venice Beach, Calif.–based creative studio made a name for itself with its quarterly screening series at UCLA’s Hammer Museum and monthly film premieres at Nike Sportswear at The Montalbán in Hollywood.
