Kaltman to Retire to Las Vegas

Longtime Los Angeles textile executive Hal Kaltman is retiring at the end of July.

He will shutter his company, Hal Kaltman Textiles, and plans to move to Las Vegas.

A familiar fixture in the industry and in the California Market Center, where his company is based, Kaltman is known to many as the face of the Textile Association of Los Angeles. He is a past president and board member of TALA. And he has been instrumental in enlisting support for TALA’s philanthropic efforts, including the TALA Christmas party for local boys and girls clubs, and its leisure activities, including the organization’s annual Play Day.

In addition, he is stepping down from the board of the Fashion Industries Guild of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. —Alison A. Nieder
