Stansfield Returns to C&C
Claire Stansfield has returned to C&C California, the Commerce-based company she co-founded with Cheyann Benedict in 2002, as creative director of design and marketing. Stansfield and Benedict sold the company to Liz Claiborne in 2005, and Stansfield left the company in 2007 when her second child was born. Miami-based Perry Ellis acquired the brand in 2008. “I am very excited about joining a great company such as Perry Ellis International, whose knowledge and resources can take C&C California to the next level,” Stansfield said in a statement.
