Fashion, Face-Time With California Designers at The Grove
For fashion fans, the only thing better than a runway show is a chance to meet the designer. Barneys Co-op and Los Angeles retail center The Grove want to give the public that opportunity at an upcoming event in Los Angeles.
Set for May 14 from 9 to 11 p.m. at Barneys Co-Op at The Grove, Fashion@TheGrove will give attendees the chance to mingle with several pioneering Los Angeles designers.
Designers Cynthia Vincent, Michelle Mason and Jason Bleick of fashion label Ever are confirmed to appear. Their fans will be treated to a fashion show, possible cocktails from The Grove’s Whisper Lounge an informal meet-and-greet with the designers. Other participating designers will be John Whitledge of Trovata, Ali Fatourechi of Genetic Denim and Noni Tochterman of Petro Zillia. Probably the first time some of these designers shared a runway was in 2003. Then, Vincent, Mason and Tochterman appeared in their own shows at the first Mercedes-Benz Los Angeles Fashion Week, held at The Standard hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
The designers will be showing their Spring 2009 collections. The public will be able to purchase fashions at the event. Admission is free. No RSVP is required for general attendance. Seating for fashion show is invite-only. For more information, vist the Facebook page for Fashion@The Grove.
