Swap Clothes for a Cause

While you’re still recovering from dressing up for Halloween festivities, the holidays are creeping up right around the corner. Scaling back on holiday parties and seasonal shindigs may leave no room in your budget for new party frocks.

For some guilt-free holiday shopping, Yelp and the W Los Angeles hotel in Westwood, Calif., are partnering with fashion site Style Section L.A. for their second annual Clothing Swap taking place at the Whiskey Blue lounge at the W Westwood on Nov. 16. Attendees are encouraged to bring a maximum of 10 seasonal party-worthy cocktail dresses that are in nearly new condition. Remember that never-worn-since-last-New-Year’s-Eve party dress hanging in the back of your closet?

The remaining unswapped goods and any extra clothes brought in will be donated to the nonprofit organization Women Helping Women, which is dedicated to empowering low-income women achieve self-sufficiency through career success.
