Affliction's Got a Brand-New Bag

Even tough guys need a place to stash their stuff. Affliction, the Los Angeles–based brand that made its name dressing mixed-martial-arts fighters and the women who love them, has announced a licensing deal with New York–based Bagstage Accessories, maker of bags and small leather goods. The deal, which includes goods for the core Affliction line and its new, more high-end label, Affliction Black Premium, will include non-leather handbags and leather handbags for women as well as men’s travel bags and wallets. The designs, which are expected to hit retail shelves in March 2010, will feature Affliction’s signature hardware, embroidery and studs.

“We are pleased to welcome Bagstage Accessories to our selective list of licensees. This is a great partnership for both companies to expand the brand reach of Affliction,” said Marianna Fundator, Affliction’s director of licensing. “Accessories are a key fashion element, and Bagstage Accessories is uniquely qualified to bring this much-anticipated category of product to the marketplace.”
