L.A. Fashion Week Spring 2010: Tristan + Trista
Tristan + Trista Spring 2010 appears to be a season that will include a little bit of everything for Tristan + Trista, the fledgling contemporary brand from Los Angeles–based designer Kristine Megrikian. The designer, who showed her upcoming collection on Oct. 30 at Rock Fashion Week at the Petersen Automotive Museum, sent out modern second-skin mini dresses perfect for a night of club-hopping alongside power suits that featured pleather pencil skirts ideal for a corporate villainess in a 1980s thriller. There were muted, drapey knits and leather jackets with exaggerated shoulders. Demure sheath dresses stood out against a knit mini dress with a shredded bodice.—Erin Barajas
