One Doctor's Fashion Prescription

Roderick Tung and Lisa Kline

Many stylists might think of themselves as curing fashion ills, but only one man might seriously claim the title of fashion doctor. He’s Roderick Tung. He is a 33-year-old practicing cardiologist in Los Angeles and the designer of men’s shirting line Tung.

A party was held for this well-dressed M.D.’s line at Los Angeles boutique Lisa Kline Men on Oct. 1. Dr. Rod described his shirting as sporting the spirit of James Bond after a couple of martinis. Eventually the good doctor hopes to sell his French-cuff shirts at exclusive department stores such as Barney’s.

The Tung shindig also was notable for being the first party held in one of the high-profile Lisa Kline stores since the death of Robert Bryson, husband of the boutique chain’s founder Lisa Kline. He died in an accident on Jan. 22. It was good to see you smiling at the party, Lisa!
