Odd Molly Announces Robertson Store

Swedish contemporary label Odd Molly has been sold in American stores such as Anthropologie. In late February, the Stockholm-based label will open its first American store. Odd Molly co-founder Per Holknekt said it will debut at 104 S. Robertson Blvd., located next to some of Los Angeles’ most exclusive jeans shops. Flagship stores for Rock & Republic and 7 For All Mankind are a stone’s throw away.

Holknekt, a former pro skateboarder, said he was in awe of Robertson’s heritage as one of the most popular streets in Los Angeles fashion. “It’s scary and exciting,” he said of opening on the street. “That’s the way I like it.”

The 2,700-square-foot Odd Molly store on Robertson will be the label’s second boutique. The first opened its doors in Stockholm in February. The contemporary label also will open a Copenhagen store in February 2010. Holknekt and Odd Molly co-founder Karin Jimfelt-Ghatan designed the looks of the boutiques with chandeliers and fences covered with a crochet material.
